Rankings
Once a week (Thursday, in your website’s time zone) we look up where your website appears on Google for your keywords — within the first 30 results — and where your business appears on Google Maps for your main services in your main city. How many keywords are checked depends on the plan: Starter 20, Pro 50, Agency 100.
Published keywords are checked first, then planned ones with the most searches. Before the first measurement the page lists the search terms that will be checked and the date.
Site check
The site check reads your website like Google does and lists fixes in order of importance. If your home page tells Google not to index it (noindex) or blocks Google, the Overview shows a warning at the top — without that fix, new articles cannot be found.
Speed
Speed measures your pages on mobile and desktop with Google’s PageSpeed test, and shows Google’s data from real visitors once your site has enough of them. The site check uses the same day’s measurement, so both show the same loading time.
Reading the numbers
Positions move from week to week — that is normal, especially for new articles, which often need several weeks before Google shows them. Look at the trend over a month rather than a single week. Positions on Google Maps also depend on where the searcher stands, which is why Local measures many points around your business.
For impressions and clicks straight from Google, connect Google Search Console; the Overview then shows how often people found you and which pages they clicked.
Questions
Do you guarantee rankings?
No. Nobody can honestly guarantee Google rankings. We guarantee the work and show you real measurements every week.
