Connect Notion

For websites that run on a Notion database — one integration, about five minutes.

Last updated October 23, 2026

Before you start

  • Your blog posts live in a Notion database, and a tool such as Notion Sites, Super or Feather turns it into your website.
  • The database needs a title column. Optional: a text column Slug, a text column Description and a checkbox Published — StrideRank fills those it finds.
  • You need to be allowed to create integrations in your Notion workspace.

Connect step by step

  1. Create an integration

Go to notion.so/profile/integrations, click New integration, pick your workspace and name it “StrideRank”. Under Capabilities, allow reading, inserting and updating content.

  2. Copy the secret

Open the integration and copy the Internal integration secret.

  3. Share the database

Open your blog database as a full page, click ••• at the top right, then Connections, and add “StrideRank”. Without this step, Notion keeps the database hidden from the integration.

  4. Copy the database ID

With the database open, copy the address. The 32-character code before ?v= is the database ID.

  5. Open the publishing settings

In StrideRank, open Settings → SEO autopilot and go to Publishing. Only owners and admins of the account can change the connection. Choose Notion, paste the ID and the secret, and add your blog address if your website shows posts under it.

  6. Save and test

Click Save connection, then Test connection. The test reads the database’s columns.

Good to know

  • Each article becomes one page in the database, with headings, lists, tables and images as Notion blocks.
  • If your columns have other names, enter them under Slug column, Description column and Published checkbox column.
  • With a blog address, the article’s public address is that address plus the slug. Without one, we use the page’s public Notion link — or, if it has none, the article waits for you to enter its address.
  • Your contact form appears in each article as a clear button that opens your StrideRank form page — these systems clean up forms inside blog text, so a link is the reliable way.
  • Choose Draft to leave the Published checkbox unticked, so the page stays off your website until you tick it.
  • Before an automatic update, we check that the page was not edited in Notion since we published it. If it was, we leave it as it is.

Questions

Does my website update automatically?

That depends on the tool that turns Notion into your website. Most of them pick up new pages within minutes. StrideRank saves the page in Notion; your tool shows it.
