The two modes
| Mode | What happens after writing |
|---|---|
| Approve every article (default) | The article waits under Awaiting approval until you approve or reject it. |
| Autopublish | Articles that pass the quality check are published under your business name without waiting for you. |
Switch between them in Autopilot → Settings → Website → Publishing. The setting applies per website and to articles written after the change.
The quality check
Every article is checked after writing, in both modes. Among other things, the check requires at least 800 words and three FAQ entries, finds repeated paragraphs and statements your business must not make, and compares every sentence with a number, price, percentage or year against the research the article was based on.
An article that fails the check is never published — not automatically and not by clicking. It shows as Failed with the reasons, and you can have it rewritten.
Approving and rejecting
Open the article
Go to Autopilot → Articles and open an article with the status Awaiting approval. The tabs show the preview, title and meta, the quality check, the sources and — on Pro — the social posts.
Adjust title and meta if you like
Under Title & meta you can change the title, URL slug, meta title (up to 70 characters) and meta description (up to 170 characters).
Approve or reject
Approve & publish sends the article to your website. Reject stops it; its keyword is not planned again automatically.
- Editing an article that is already live puts it back into approval. Approving it again updates the same post on your website.
- If no website is connected yet, approved articles wait. After you connect, approve them once more.
- If publishing fails because your site rejected the credentials or a setting is wrong, the connection is marked as failed in the settings so you can see where to act.
How articles are planned
- Every approved keyword becomes one article. Create content plan spreads them evenly over the next 30 days, most valuable keywords first, and never plans the same keyword twice.
- How many articles land in a plan follows Articles per month in the settings, capped by your plan.
- An article is written on its planned day (in your website’s time zone). When fewer than seven days of plan are left, the autopilot extends it from your remaining approved keywords.
- To stop everything for one website, turn off Autopilot active for this website? in the settings.
Questions
Can an article that failed the quality check be published anyway?
No. Failed articles are never published. You can have them rewritten for the same keyword.
What happens to planned articles if I switch to autopublish?
Articles written after the switch are published automatically if they pass the quality check. Articles that are already waiting for approval keep waiting until you approve or reject them.
