Automatic SEO articles for Wix
Wix is popular with local businesses because it is easy to build with, and the Wix Blog app is right there — yet most of those blogs are empty. StrideRank publishes to it through the official Wix Blog API. Wix does not accept plain HTML for blog posts, so each article goes through Wix’s own converter into its rich content format rather than through a home-made translation, which keeps headings, lists, links and images intact in the Wix editor afterwards.
How a post is created
StrideRank creates a draft post with title, converted content, excerpt, SEO slug and SEO title and description, then publishes it and reads back the public URL. Updating an article later updates the same post instead of creating a duplicate.
Limits worth knowing
The Wix converter accepts up to 30,000 characters of HTML. Typical articles stay well below that; if one is longer, publishing stops with a clear message rather than cutting the text. The cover image is the first image in the article, and structured data is not added, because Wix does not reliably accept script tags in post SEO data.
What you need to connect
An API key from your Wix account with permission to manage the blog and rich content, and your site ID. Some sites also require a member ID so posts have an author; you can add it to the connection settings.
Common questions
- Do I need the Wix Blog app?
- Yes. Articles are published as Wix Blog posts, so the blog has to be installed on your site.
- Can I edit posts in Wix afterwards?
- Yes. Because the content is converted into Wix’s own format, it opens normally in the Wix blog editor.
