Automatic SEO articles for Shopify blogs

Every Shopify store comes with a blog, and for most stores that blog is a single welcome post. For a business that sells services or local products through Shopify, the blog is the easiest place to answer the questions customers search before buying. StrideRank publishes to it through Shopify’s Admin API using a custom app token that you create in your store admin. Each article becomes a blog post with body, summary, handle, featured image with alt text, and the SEO title and description stored in the fields Shopify uses for search results.

SEO fields where Shopify expects them

The search title and meta description are written to the same fields you see under "Search engine listing" in the Shopify admin, so themes and search engines pick them up without any theme changes.

Connected to the store, not a person

You create a custom app in your Shopify admin with content write access and paste its admin token into StrideRank, together with your myshopify.com address and the blog to publish to. Removing the app ends the access.

No scripts in your posts

Structured data is not placed into the article body. A script inside a Shopify post is invisible in the admin editor and easily destroyed the next time someone saves the post. Use the webhook connection if you need JSON-LD delivered with each article.

Common questions

Does it need my custom domain?
It connects through your myshopify.com address. Article links on your site use your primary domain as usual.
Can I choose the author name?
Yes. Set an author name in the connection; otherwise the store name is used.
